I have to admit, I wasn't that fond of the Pansy Petals Suite from the new Annual Catalog May 2021 - April 2022, but I ordered it from the preorder, because I loved the beautiful paper. I also loved that you could die cut the Pansy flowers out right from the beautiful paper. I really appreciate when Stampin' Up! makes this possible on some of the paper, because it's a very simple and quick way to give a WOW factor to an otherwise mediocre card.

There are 22 stamps and 21 dies in the Pansy Patch Bundle - I'm serious! I had no idea where to begin, and it was such a new set that I couldn't go to Pinterest or You Tube and get an idea of how to use this set. So, I did what came natural to me - I used the beautiful Designer Series Paper as a starting point. From there I got brave and just started seeing which dies fit on the images of the paper as advertised. The card stock colors were easy to choose because I love, love, love the new 2021-2023 In Color Collection. As you can probably tell, Soft Succulent is my favorite. I used it for the card base and the leaves on this fun fold card, and all of the Pansies on this card are cut from the DSP.
I stuck with a fun fold for my next card but got a little more brave and stamped the flower that is on the belly band. I love the Gingham paper that is on the flip side of the flowers too. This is the new In Color Fresh Freesia - a very light purple.

I tried stamping the big Pansy from the stamp set on the inside but should have practiced on a scrap piece first, because I was way off and didn't know what I was doing. No worries though, I just cut another beautiful flower from the DSP using the die that was made for it!
Next, I decided to make just a regular card showcasing the DSP again. I wish I had noticed that there is new matching ribbon for every color of the 2021-2023 In Color collection. It's a fabulous soft, open weave ribbon and would have looked great as the divider between the two different patterns of DSP! I just didn't see it on the preorder sheet, so I used a solid strip of the new In Color Evening Evergreen to make my border. You better believe when I placed my second preorder, I snagged the entire collection of In Color 2021-2023 ribbon and several other items I "missed" on my first preorder.

I just think the little bee is precious and am glad I got the whole suite because I would have looked right over that little guy. I cut another Pansy from the DSP for this card, because I decided I needed a little practice with the stamps before I bravely stamp on the inside of an already made card again.
I can't wait for everyone to get the new Annual Catalog May 2021-April 2022 and see the beautiful cards everyone makes. I have a BOGO sale going on right now too.
