Triple Layer Bliss

Oh lord! I wish you could see how many times I tried these designs before I got it right! Sometimes when I'm in the thralls of trying to put my design ideas onto paper, I wonder if I'm not a little bit crazy! I worked and worked last night all the way to this morning at 1:30 am to perfect the design idea I had for this triple layer card!

I want to teach this technique at my next class on June 13, and I wanted a "good" sample to show when I set the class up. Well, after many hours of trying and 2 whole sheets of that precious, smooth as silk Basic White Stampin' Up! paper, I finally achieved one good enough to use!

I love this Shaded Summer stamp set! I think it's a sleeper though, because I haven't seen any other demonstrators post any cards using it. It stamps so good and I think it's beautiful.

I started out using the In Bloom stamp set because you're supposed to "random stamp" the design you're going to use in this technique. I'm a terrible random stamper though, and I wasted 2 more sheets of that precious paper trying to get it right.

I'm excited about my upcoming class, but I have to come up with one more design or technique because I always like to make 3 cards in my classes.

The other design I'm teaching is a Diagonal Z Fun Fold card. It's a little tricky on how you get the diagonal of the card stock and the diagonal on the DSP to align. It's so pretty though once you get it figured out.

This design requires 12 x 12 paper and of course, I didn't have any. I placed an order yesterday for it though, because I'm committed to teaching this design.

Hope you enjoyed these designs and that they spark your creativity!

Take care,

Kim Webb
