I had a class this past weekend teaching a cascade diagonal fun fold card design and a triple layer stamping technique. I made a sample card for the diagonal fold from the Hand Penned DSP, but gave it to my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day. I made another sample for the class using Pansy Petals DSP. I advertised the class using both of these beautiful papers, but the day before class when I started making my kits and getting everything in order, I couldn't find the sample card I made. I didn't have enough of the Hand Penned or Pansy Petals DSP to make another sample and still have enough left over for the class, so I kept looking for the Pansy Petals sample card I had already made. Well, class day was here and I still couldn't find it, So….I made another sample using the You're a Peach DSP. Guess what? I loved it even more than either of the two cards I had reserved for class.
I hesitated about purchasing the You're A Peach Suite because I didn't think I'd use it that much, but I am so glad I did. I've used it quite a bit actually. SU really got the "Distinctive" portions of the stamps spot on. I just love stamping the peach with Pale Papaya then stamping the same image again with Calypso Coral after stamping off once. It makes a very real looking image of a peach. Zoom in on that image and you'll even see a color splatter of the darker Calypso Coral ink.
I wish I would have taken a picture of just the envelope before I gave this card away so you could see how the stem lines up perfectly with the 3 attached flowers. Same is true for the 3 attached peaches. I had the perfect opportunity to give this beautiful card to a co-worker who shared a big box of peaches with our department on Friday before my class on Saturday (before the card was even a thought). Loved how it worked out that I had just the perfect thank you card to give the co-worker.
After making this fun fold 3 times and typing the instructions for the class .pdf, I finally got it down pat and consider it an easy design now. I think I'm going to offer these three fun folds as a kit to purchase from my website. Here's a look at the inside of the card.

I cut the Pansy flowers out using the dies and DSP. I offered the class participants who took part in the Paper Share I offered at the launch of the new catalog to bring their paper and crop out some Pansy flowers and leaves for future use. That made them so happy, and it made me so happy to see how these ladies are progressing in their skills and design abilities since the first class we had.
