I joined my own paper share from the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog because of the way I shop. When I go to an event like a craft show or a wholesale jewelry show or even T J Maxx for that matter, I must walk the entire floor before I buy one single thing. It drives my friends nuts (except my best friend from high school - she's just like me)! Then I go back around and buy the things I love. That's the same way I approach the beautiful Designer Series Paper from a new catalog. I want to get a couple of pieces from each pack of paper then go back and buy what I love. Makes perfect sense to me. When I went through the paper from this new catalog, I least expected to love the New Horizons Designer Series Paper, because I'm not a "scene" type of stamper. I thought I would play with it a little to give my paper share customers some ideas on how to use a little bit to make a nice card or two. I ended up making 4 cards that I was quite proud of from one sheet of 6x6 paper.
I cut one piece of the 6 x 6 New Horizons DSP into four 3" squares, matted each onto a piece of Black card stock that was a quarter of an inch larger than the 3" square. I used stamps, images and sentiments all from On The Horizon bundle. I love it when I can use one bundle to make 1 card much less 4 cards!
I also made a card using the Peaceful Cabin bundle. I didn't love it, but I wanted to try to use that weird die of the cabin that just cuts out negative space. It wasn't my favorite card, but I didn't trash it either.
The last card I made was from my favorite piece of the DSP, the meadow scene, but it didn't turn out to be my favorite card. I'm happy I'll have another piece from the paper share to try again with that one. I die cut the fence out of the whitewash piece from the Tasteful Textures DSP. I love that fence and that's the reason I had to have that bundle to start with.
