He's All That

I couldn't wait to sit down with the He's The Man suite from the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog! It did not disappoint! I was designing my next card before I even finished with the first one. I ended up designing 6 cards at this one setting. My first card was a horizontal gate fold card where I actually used the stamps from the bundle for my sentiment and the inside of the card. I showed off the cute designer series bar-b-q paper complete with a cow, steak sauce, grill tools, and more. Then I threw in one of the preprinted die cuts, "My Man," for a little something extra on the inside.

What I loved most about this suite was that the paper, die cuts and sentiments weren't just for Father's Day. It is so versatile, I was able to create Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, and Happy Father's Day cards for friends and family alike. The circular stamp and matching die "Together for the Long Haul" made me think of my husband and our anniversary coming up on April 24. There is a preprinted die cut that says "With You I'm Never Lost" and I used it for the inside greeting with the camping paper and stamped Happy Anniversary on one of the other die cuts provided.

I made this card into a gift card holder and plan to put an Amazon Gift Card in it for my husband.

My hair stylist restores old cars as a hobby, and he has a birthday coming up, so I used the classic automobile patterned paper to make a card for him next.

Again, I used the preprinted, precut dies provided with the paper for the outside sentiment and to decorate the inside of the card. It was very quick and easy as the DSP did most of the work.

I work with a guy who enjoys a cold beer every now and then who has a birthday coming up in May, so I went ahead and made him a card while I was at it. For this, I used the non-themed patterns in the pack of DSP and the "Cheers to all your Years" preprinted die cut that came with the paper.

I spiffed it up a bit by die cutting a larger circle using Crushed Curry paper that accented the color of the beer in the glasses. The bundle comes with a die that cuts 2 tails for the circle die cuts, so I cut 2 of those using the Crushed Curry as well. Cute and very simple.

The more cards I made, the more I thought about different cards for different people in my life.

I made a card for a "Sharp Dressed Man" in our lives (definitely NOT my husband...he would wear a potato sack if I didn't dress him!), but one of our neighbors and mutual friends wears all the latest fashions.

In other words, when I sent the two of them to the store at the beach to get me a pair of flip flops because I forgot mine, I told my husband to let Dale pick them out! Dale did a fine job too, just like I knew he would. This card's for him!

Anyway, if you need some masculine cards to add to your stash, consider joining Kim's Card Club for May. I plan to use this suite of products for May (inventory willing) and you'll get 8 card kits based on these designs, a full pack of He's The Man Designer Series Paper complete with 2 sheets of precut, preprinted dies, and a half pack of the Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Gems that I used in most of these designs. You can read about my card club here.

Also, consider joining my Paper Share where you'll get some of every Designer Series Paper in the new catalog that would cost $150 if you were to add all 12 packs. I order each pack for you and cut them down to 6X6 and divide them up into groups of 4's. I label each resealable pack with the name of the paper, the item number, and the color of paper and ink they coordinate with. All of this for $38 plus $9 shipping unless you are local and can do porch pick up. This is a great value and you can read more about it and "save your spot" by clicking here.

Thanks for checking out my blog today and I hope you enjoyed seeing this new suite as much as I enjoyed making the cards!
