When I first saw the results from this technique, I was amazed! I was even more amazed when I learned how easy it was to make. I know it doesn't look easy, so I made a very quick video below showing just how easy it is. The video will show only the process of making the braid, and I promise, it will be short and sweet. And BTW, I have made one video in my life of card making, so my very talented friend, co-worker, and team member Kaylen Kent did a bang-up job making the video for me!
Yet again, I found myself using the You're a Peach Suite - the one Suite I didn't think I would use much has turned out to be the one I go to most often. It just stamps so well and has such beautiful paper and the sentiments are great too!

I thought this technique would work well with the Bloom Where You're Planted Suite, so I printed another pattern and snipped away. Snips! If you don't have a pair of Stampin' Up! Paper Snips, I strongly urge you to get a pair. They cut so precise that you can go right to the very point of the pattern and stop. I valued the snips so much that I ordered an extra pair with my Stampin' Rewards one time. Then, I must have forgotten I had a pair in reserve, because I ordered another pair with Stampin Rewards. Seriously, they are that good. I'm still using my first pair from 2 years ago, but should they lose their precision, I'm prepared lol.
The last card I made served two purposes - our team challenge for June was 3D projects, and I needed a quick birthday gift for a co-worker. I made a batch of Roasted Cinnamon Sugar Pecans and fixed them up in a baggie with a pretty topper and made a matching braided birthday card from the Hand Penned Suite. I was in a hurry and didn't get a good photo of it, but you get the drift.
Seriously, watch the video and if you want to try this technique, subscribe to my blog and I will send you a copy of the .pdf template. If you make some cards, I'd love for you to post it on my Facebook Group Just Paper, LLC.
Thanks for checking out my blog today!
